A Statement on Just and Humane Immigration Reform

This statement was originally adopted by the Alliance of Baptists at their annual gathering on 7/31/2010 but was amended to its present form and content on 4/14/12 in Austin, TX. It draws upon scriptural affirmations for people of faith to care for and defend the stranger, the pilgrim, the widow and orphan, and the most vulnerable, with calls to action for legislatures and faith communities alike.
